Under the slogan “Nothing Without Women”, for the third consecutive year the Serbian Blood Transfusion Institute and the Red Cross of Serbia organized a blood donation event on March 8, 2013. Marking the International Women’s Day, the event was aimed at raising awareness among women of the importance of blood donation. The percentage of blood donations by women has been on the rise over the past three years.

Women from leading institutions from the world of politics, medicine, culture and sports, representatives of different professions in recognizable uniforms and many Belgrade women donated blood, displaying their humanity and support for others.

Just like every time when humanitarian events are organized, the Wonder Strings were more than happy to accept the invitation extended by the dear ladies of the Blood Transfusion Institute. For all the great women who donated blood that day the Wonder Quartet with flute played romantic tunes from their repertoire.
